Pogradec, 22 - 24 April 2015
Following the work and ongoing efforts to increase the capacities of its staff, the ASCS attended-a 3-days training, organized by TACSO office Albania, in Pogradec, from 22 to 24 April 2015. The training was organized in the framework of the support to the government institutions that are responsible for the development of a sustainable and inclusive civil society.
The subject of the training was "CSOs’ Organizational development and management". Its goal was to increase the capacities of the Agency in the areas related to strategic planning and CSOs’ management, in order to meet the best needs of civil society in Albania. The organization of this training was also connected with one of the priorities outlined in the Roadmap on the Albanian government policy which is to provide a more enabling and suitable environment for the development of civil society.
During these 3 days training, there were addressed some important topics and specifically topics related to the standards of international CSOs, the creation of an enabling environment for CSOs, government and CSO boards and their executive management, responsibilities of boards and concepts based on organizational development and operational systems of NGOs, non-profit sustainability, strategic and organizational planning of the organization, the functioning of the internal system, policies and procedures of the organization, project development, evaluation and monitoring, and communication with the interest groups, mainly the media etc. Finally, the training was concluded by issuing certificates for all participants.
Executive Director Mr. Andi Kananaj together with the staff of ASCS thanked TACSO office Albania as well as the experts who led the training and promised to continue their cooperation in the future.
